Progress Report of Children Learning Community in November 2018

Dear friends,

We were grateful to God and to our loyal friends who supported the children learning community activities throughout November 2018. The activities run smoothly at Cakung and Sarang Tupai, Ciawi. 

Children Learning Community has been running continuously since 2006. We are grateful to our faithful donors and to all our dear friends who support us.

In the middle of November 2018, some students from PGSD, an open university in Ciawi’s visited us and assisted the children. They came for their college assignment. 

Big sister Sarah and Nia shared duty in teaching smaller children and also teenagers.

Meanwhile, mothers also kept producing craft like knitting products such as mid size wallet, bags, and coasters. Out of recycle coffee bags, mothers also produced big cup holders, mid size cup holders and rugs.  

In November, Cakung’s children were accompanied by Mrs. Mar’ah, big sister Indri, big brother Ludo, big sister Vera, and big sister Debby. In Sarang Tupai, children were accompanied by big sister Lenny, Mrs. Ruth, Mrs. Vera, Jagad’s mother, and big sister Debby.

In the month of November, we fulfilled scholarship recipients’ need such as monthly school fees, school transportation, school supplies and monthly school activity.  

We thank loyal donors who relentlessly providing us with scholarship assistance. Your support is valuable for these children’s future.

In Cakung and Sarang Tupai, the healthy menu of November 2018 include cookies, mangoes fruit, fruit salad with peanut sauce, donut, fried banana, green bean porridge with loaves of white bread, steam local fruit; breadfruit and fried dry spinach. 

      

We also thank facilitators, Cakung’s community and Sarang Tupai’s community for their effort in preparing healthy dishes throughout November 2018.  

Sarang Tupai’s children thank big sister Sarah and Nia for donation of milk, cookies and snacks. 

Cakung’s children also thank big brother Ludo for donation of delicious chocolate candy dessert.

Throughout November 2018, the Cakung’s “Kartini” saving and loan cooperative effort ran well. 

We received loan payment from Cakung’s community on time. We also purchased a few basic needs in the middle of November 2018.

Closed to year end, the cooperative effort thoroughly reviews their administration. Later, at the end of the year, in December 2018, the cooperative officers will produce report to all members on their saving and loan activities.  

 

We thank our loyal friend for their support.

We wish for longevity of this program.

December 2018 Plan:

1.                Learning Activity

a.   Third Quarter Review in the beginning of December 2018.

b.   The end of learning session in the 2^nd week of December 2018 and will be back in the 2^nd week of January 2019.

c.   On Friday, at the 7^th of December 2018, Cakung’s children will participate in “Positive Attitude Development” workshop. Meanwhile on Saturday, at the 8^th of December 2018, Cakung and Ciawi’s teenagers will be participated in “Health and Reproduction System” mini seminar. The purpose of this seminar is to medically introduce teenagers of their reproductive organ and morally induce their responsibility and conduct in this matter.    

2.                Scholarship

a.   Fulfill Elementary, Middle School, High School and Vocational High School recipients’ school needs and supplies.

3.                 Staple Needs Cooperative Effort

Purchase out of stock items.

We are grateful to our friends for their support in prayers, finances, efforts and materials for this month.

We are deeply touched by many of our donors’ generosity who put others before themselves. We truly appreciate your trust in our effort.

We thank Sr. Agustina, BKK and GKSI for donation of clothing, sanitary napkins, diapers, child powder milk and story books.

We also thank the sisterhood of Ursulin, Juanda for recycle coffee pack donations. They are needed for handcraft activity.

Thank you very much to Jason and Mr.David for your kindness in translating this report.
