LEARNING COMPETITION

On Sunday, June 28, 2009, there is learning competition. For small children, there are singing & folding paper/origami, colouring, & drawing competition. While for big children, there are 4 subjects. They are Science, Math, Indonesia & English language & cooking competition. The participants of first group are Nur, Adit, Zidan, Lina, & Lini. The participants of second group are Jingga, Desy, Kiki, Andika, Umi, & Andrew. The participants of third group are Neng, Cynthia, Intan, Joel, Tia, Susi, & Pedro. The participants of fourth group are Ester, Yulia, Zaka, & Kartini while the participants of fifth group are Indri, Yana, Anah, Jessica, Jemima, & I. The learning competitions for first & second group are singing, folding paper/origami, colouring & drawing, for third group are Indonesia writing in 5W1H way & English.

First, we held English competition, Indonesia writing with 5W1H way. The juries of fourth & fifth group are Ms.Qori’ah, Ms.Rikah, & Ms.Lisa. Ms.Qori’ah made the schedule for English competition from 11.00 to 11.30. At 11.30 to 12.00 for Indonesia writing competition. The juries for first, second, & third group are Ms.Uwie, Ms.Uju, & Aung. After the learning competition, big & small children had folding paper/origami, drawing, & colouring competition.

After the learning competition, big children followed the cooking competition. First group is Indri & Susi, second group is Mala, Kartini, & Yulia, third group is Yana, Ester, & Jaka while fourth group are Jemima, Jessica, & Ana. The menu of cooking competition is ‘capcay’ (Chinese mixed vegetables soup). Every group have different adding for the menu, such as add chicken, meatball, or chicken liver. In my group, I wash & chopped the vegetables & chicken. The group which finish cooking first is my group. After that Indri’s group, Yana’s group, & the last is Jemima’s group. Ms.Qori’ah & Aung are the juries. After that, Ms.Qori’ah asked us to make the ‘capcay’ recipe.

The juries tasted our cooking. After that, the juries choose the winner. Before the announcement, big & small children could take ‘capcay’ as their lunch with rice. Big children tasted ‘capcay’ from each group.

After lunch together, Zidan’s house & learning house were cleaning because they will use for the place of the winner of learning & cooking competition announcement. The winner of first group is Adit in singing, while the second group is Jingga in singing & colouring. The winner of third group is Cynthia in Math & Indonesia language. The fourth group is Julia in Indonesia writing 5W1H way, while the winner of the fifth group is Jessica. The child who is diligent & never absent in learning house is Joel. The last announcement is the winner of cooking competition is the first group; Indri & Susi. The announcement of sewing competition is canceled because Ms.Uju has not ready for the gifts.

After the announcement, the juries take pictures together. There are Ms.Uwie, Ms.Qori’ah, Ms.Uju, Ms.Rikah, Ms.Lisa & Aung. There is volunteer who just visit. She is Ms.Saneri. After that, the big children cannot back home because we have to clean the learning house. The facilitators back home first because it close to evening & their home is far from here. After clean learning house, we back to our home.
