Dear
friends,
We were grateful to God and to our loyal
friends who supported the children learning community activities throughout
September 2018. The activities run smoothly at Cakung and Sarang Tupai, Ciawi.
In
the beginning of September, we got a sad news from Chilldren Learning Community
in Sarang Tupai, Ciawi. A sibling of one of our dear facilitator passed away.
Accompany
by one of the volunteer, we attended the
funeral procession.
Parents
and children also came to comfort the family.
We
wished our deepest condolence to the loss one. We prayed for decease’s peaceful
rest in the house of the Lord. In the hand of loving God, we asked also for the
strength and endurance for the family to face their grievance.
At
the end of September 2018, children got visitors. Mr. Nanang and his family
came to see us at the 29th of September 2018. We haven’t seen each
other for many years.
Mr.
Nanang came on Saturday afternoon, right after healthy meal session. Mr. and
Mrs. Nanang got a chance to talk to a few children who were still hung around
after finishing their meal.
Mr.
Nanang and his family also enjoyed healthy mungbean soup with slices of steam banana. The children’s mothers
prepared the meal that day.
Mr.
Nanang talked about perseverance to achieve goals. Children were advised to be
diligent in their study.
Mr.
Nanang remembered his struggling days to obtain overseas scholarship. He knew before that he needed to master
English language.
His
advices to children who pursue overseas scholarship were to cultivate diligent
attitude in studying and lean English well.
We
took a group photo before visitation ended.
Children
thank Mr. Nanang and his family for their financial donations. It benefits the
operation of this learning community.
We
hope for continuous relationship with Mr. Nanang and his family.
