WATCH OUT ON GLOBAL WARMING By Yuliyana

On Friday, the 23'th of January 2009 with Ms. Debby, Ms. Uwie, Mala, and I went to the IBiI campus following the seminar on global warming. This seminar was held from 5 PM to 7 PM. On our way to the seminar by taxi, the street was jammed. On arriving there, we were welcomed by the commitee from IbiI. They gave us some meal box. After that I took a seat on the third line. Mala and I have assignment to make report. Ms. Uwie asked me to take some pictures.

The purpose of this seminar was helping us all to realize the effect of the global warming. Global warming is the effect of the higher temperature of the entire world. There are many reasons for the global warming:
1. Excessive using of any natural resources in the world. Crude Oil for gasoline. Every day we see the modernization everywhere in the world and every one is trying to find the best result. Crude oil are one among many that are most needed by man to be used for their car as gasoline. With the number of car increased sharply the crude oil from below the earth are continuously pumped to make gasoline. We used to go by car instead of walking or using bicycles or tricycle.

2. In our country the forest are destroyed excessively in many places like Kalimantan and Papua. Too many trees in our forest were cut without replanting, so that the forest became a fast deserted land.
3. We used to wasting the clean water every day and our river are badly polluted, so that many people experienced the water shortage. That's why people have to buy clean water even for drinking. We have to use clean water properly, including what we buy in the plastic bottles. Used or drink it until the rest. Don't waste the clean water.
4. The land and water are polluted because many people are just throwing their house garbages everywhere they want, especially to the river or the vacant land near their home. So the air are badly poluted. The air polution are coming from the gas emission which are produced by cars too, and we are all breath the same poluted air. It's so bad for our health.

5. We waste too many energy with our excessive way of life. We always want beyond our need. For examples are the electricity we use for the new mall and supermall in our cities every year wich are run 24 hours a day. And we can not stop them. So it's the government job to be tough on this matter with their regulation on using the limited electric power by our business corporations.
In the middle of the seminar I and Mala had our dinner, while hearing the presentations and then we had a small interview with Ms. Lucy's friend. The seminar's commitee from IBiI gave session for any questions too, and there were three qusetions from the audiens. All questions have the right and clear answers. After that we were asked to fill the questionaire. That's all and before leaving we were took pictures by Ms.Lucy’s friend for a teen's magazine. When we left the IbiI campus, the second group of Cakung Children were coming. They are Jessica, Jemima, Desmon, Indri, Yohanes, Mr.Siswa and Ms.Qoriah. We were just going together and took pictures in front of the Mall of Indonesia at Kelapa Gading and searching for food. Finally together after had meal, we went home.
