Learning to knit in Tangerang

On the Monday, 9th of August, I went to Tangerang with some friends. I am so happy because we’re on a school holiday until Thursday. Kartini and I went to sit in the front on our way there.

After we arrived, we waited for quite a while in the front of the gate. Finally Kak Eka, who asked us to came to her house brings us in to her house. She is very nice and very beautiful. She even let us stay a night in her place.

The next day, we went to Sister Ignatio’s house. Kak Debby didn’t really know where Sister Ignatio’s house is, so we kind of walking around this really tiny walk path. Until finally we found the house. I was asked to come inside. And they served us some drinks and cakes.

Now we have to learn to knit with plastic bags. First of all we have to cut the plastic bag finely. My friends and I cuts the plastic bags until it finished and then we started knitting it. Those who could not knit were asked to clean some coffee bags.

We took a break and then we have lunch together at Sister Ignatio’s house. After that we made wallet from the coffee covers that have been cleaned.

Some friends did it easily but at other times like when you have to shape it, I could not do it.

My friends and I went back to Jakarta, Ester, Kartini, Anah, Kak Deby and I bought some candies. Uju and Indri went to find a taxi for us while we waited. When the taxi arrived, Kartini and I sat in the front next to the driver. I was sleeping all the way home. When I woke up, we are around Garden City’s area. I was feeling really sick and wanted to vomit. But then I was given a water to drink so I did not vomit after all.
