Sex Education Event – Week 1

On 4 July 2010, around 9AM, we gathered in Study House to go off to where the Sex Education event would be held that day. We would learn how to appreciate ourselves and others, in terms of the body, feelings and efforts.

Once we arrived, we were welcomed by a security guard however, when we were about to enter the main door, we were then welcomed by two big barking dogs. We then ran away out of the house, as we scared.

They welcomed and asked us to sit down. We were provided nice breakfast of warm sweet tea, bakwan and rice cakes. We straight away ate this beautiful breakfast.
A few minutes after that, the sex education class began. They distributed pieces of papers lining many songs. We sang all the songs on the paper. After that, we listened to the explanation about sex from Kak Alvi.

We then created handcraft items which was waving floor mat made of manila and origami papers. After making the mat, we watched a movie titled “How God creates Human?” Creating the floor mat is representing the process of God waving us with all the goodness and uniqueness.

Soon after the movie, we had another session. We did not realize that time went so fast and it was already 4pm. We asked for permission to go home. When we passed Pintu Air area, I got off from the car and reach Mosque Lane. I was happy to be home again.
