My activity in 2011

My school teacher gave me a task to manage the cooperation and the canteen. There are two children who manage the cooperation and the canteen. My classmate and I were given a capital of IDR 100,000 to start with. In the beginning it was very hard but thank God my friend and I succeeded to sell the stock we bought. All stocks were sold out. I was very happy that I was able to fulfil the task well. It gave me the knowledge of how to sell well. The first week of February was a holiday where I was in charge of the canteen. My friend and I were selling from 7am to 1:30pm. We managed to do all the tasks from tidying up the place, arranging the food and selling them.

In the Cakung Children Community, alongside learning for category IV, I sometimes accompany the children of category I and II. Category IV lessons include English, Math and Indonesian also skill lessons such as knitting, chocolate making and quilling paper creations.

I was chosen as a coordinator of the Children Health Improvement Programme & Children Nourishment Improvement Programme. My team of the Children Health Improvement Programme consists of Yohanes and Kartini, while the other programme team consisted of Ondo and Anah.

Since February I was appointed to record the participants of the children sex education activity and with my team we formed the committee of this event. The committees are transportation, provisions, equipment and photography.

I am glad to be learning at theCakung Children Community because I get useful knowledge either in organisation skills or teaching skills; I am able to help the mentors accompanying the children of category I and II.
