Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2022. Children Learning Community December 2021 Report

 

Dear friends,

 

For those of you who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2022.

 

We were grateful to our loyal friends who supported the children learning community’s activity in December 2021. We were also grateful for God for keep us running until mid-December 2021.

 

We were tremendously grateful that all of community’s children and their family were healthy, far away from pandemic, that covers every part of the world. None of the children is effected by corona virus. 

 

With most of adult and teenagers are vaccinated in our community, we hope for the end of pandemic.

Cakung’s children had their review in the first week of December.

 

In December, the Children Learning Community received donations from our kind donors. We thanked Sr. Lucia, OSU for 25 kilos rice donations. The children also thank Irene, the vet, for her kind donation of 4 boxes of used toys. The community also thanked LDD which donated kerosine stoves, bowls, plates, water jugs, shoe racks and folding learning tables through Sister Maria, BKK. Cakung’s children also thanked Lions Club Indonesia District 307 A1 for their Christmas goody bags donations and bananas  through Mrs. Lusia Soetanto. We are really appreciate heart warm attention from LDD and Sr. Maria, BKK to facilitators for Christmas groceries packages. 

 

Thank you so much. May God bless all our dearest donors with peace and health. We hope to continue relation to all our kind donors.  

 

The children experienced rain almost every day in December. Therefore, the learning schedule change accordingly. Ciawi’s children sometime have to start learn earlier to avoid downpour.  

 

Until now, we are still raising for Ciawi’s learning hut. Meanwhile, we have provided wooden chest to store all learning materials.

 

Big sister Saneri was still trying to connect us with Kombucha Ramuraga. The effort is still going until January 2022.

 

We thank big sister Saneri and Kombucha Ramuraga for their contribution. We hope to keep in touch with them in the future program.

 

Cakung’s children still learned in a smaller group at several meeting points.

 

We followed the pandemic health guidance on school children that are not allowed to attend class fully in their school.   

 

All Ciawi’s children in all categories ended the year 2021 with green activity. They brought spices plants from their backyard home. Together, they learned variety of local Indonesian spices.

After class learning, children walked around the learning place yard and identified variety spices plants.

 

We thanked big sister Ari Ambarwati for introducing spices plants to Ciawi’s children throughout her book “Bocah Rempah”, the spices children.

 

Facilitators, the children and mothers ended the 2021 learning with lunch together.

 

 

Ciawi’s children and community were grateful to various stake holders for their kindness and working relation throughout the year.

Ciawi’s mothers enjoyed weaving out of recycle coffee packs. They also held cooperative meeting.

 

We are grateful for your attention and support. We hope to continue our effort with you. Children were grateful to be able to continue fulfilling their education through our scholarship program.

 

With your support, children can stay in school and have a better future.

 

To fulfill the need of the children and communities, we kindly ask our loyal friends to keep remember us.

January 2022 Plan :

 

1. Learning activity in Cakung, Rorotan, and Ciawi

 

-      Children start to learn on the first week of January 2022.

 

2. Library Activity

 

- Back office activity start on the second week of January 2022.

 

3. Scholarship

-      Paper works and purchasing school needs for recipients.

 

4. Basic Food Cooperative Activity

-      Ciawi’s cooperative had their first evaluation meeting on the first week of January 2022. Cakung’s cooperative will have their meeting on the second week of January 2022.

 

We are grateful to our friends for all their prayers, finances, efforts and materials’ support throughout this month.

You have given these children the opportunity to be smart and prosper in their own community. Together, we have taken part in the nation’s effort for social justice. 

We thank for your routine donation. Even the smallest help from you, it provides great educational impact to future generation.

 

Throughout December 2021, we had fund raising for our operational expenses. The Learning Community sold Christmas treat. Profit from this event was 130.000 IDR and from Cakung’s Christmas Bazaar was 105.000 IDR.

 

We thank our dear friends and donors for their faith and trust in us.

Finally we pray for the Lord to grant you with healthy body and financial blessings. Thank you for your continuous contribution to the program.
