Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021, Children Learning Community December 2020 Report

 

To the Christians, Merry Christmas and Happy new Year 2021.

We hope Nativity of  Jesus brings peace, joy, and new spirit in 2021.

 

 

Dear friends,

 

 

We were grateful to God and to our loyal friends who supported the children learning community’s activity throughout December 2020.

 

 

We thanked facilitators who assisted the children in all activities.

 

 

We also thanked parents for their trust. Up to mid-December 2020, all activities were run with great cautious.

 

 

Before Christmas break, we had a chance to clean our library. We sorted out books from the library’s book cases and left with three boxes of books. We planned to send these books to the pioneering reading club in Kei island.

 

 

A few months ago, we received donation of a plastic Christmas tree complete with ornaments. We gave the tree to a Christian family who needed the most. Joyfully, we send the tree a day before Christmas.  

 

 

We thank Mrs. Ludirasih for donation of writing boards. During pandemic, children need writing boards for their convenience, to study in some location outdoor with tarps cover.   

 

 

We thanked Sister Agustina, BKK for donation of clothing and bar soaps.  We also thanked Mrs. Stella for clothing donations.

 

 

Right before New Year 2021, the children received donation of books and magazines. They thanked Mrs. Lucia Triundari who came and brought donations.

 

 

One of scholarship recipients contracted dengue fever. With precaution, we visited him at the hospital. A few days after, Cakung’s facilitators had their year end evaluation in Ciawi.

 

 

A day after Christmas, with cautious, we prepared small Christmas lunch for few facilitators and children.

 

 

At the end of 2021, we visited a community’s child who had a birthday.

Children were grateful to donors who provided them with scholarship assistance.

 

School expenses  were done by bank transfer. Due to need for internet, the usual transportation and snack allowance were directed for internet fee and virtual school activities.

 

A few grade 9 Ciawi’s students have started their High School’s application process.

 

Children thank loyal donors for providing them with scholarship assistance.

 

With your support, children will have a better future.

 

We ask many of our loyal friends to remember welfare of  the children and communities.

 

Your generous kindness and supports have helped us. They boosted our morale and spirit to care for these services.

 

January 2021 Plan:

 

1. Learning Activity at Cakung, Rorotan, and Ciawi.

1. Leaning activity begin on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
2. Cakung’s and Ciawi’s children are scheduled to learn every Wednesday and Rorotan’s children learn every Saturday.
3. Ciawi’s facilitators 2020 curriculum review will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2021.

3. Staple Food Cooperative Effort

Cakung’s and Ciawi’s cooperative open for business as usual. Cooperative officers keep track of sales, inventory and purchase out of stock items.

 

We are grateful to our friends for their prayers, finances, efforts and materials’ support throughout this month.

 

You have boosted our spirit in bringing up the underprivileged community. You have given these children the opportunity to be smart, independent and prosper in their own community. Together, we have taken part in the nation’s effort for social justice.   Financial contributions and supports are needed to achieve this year’s budget.

 

Despite hardship of pandemic, many of loyal donors are still dedicating their resources for the children.

 

During holidays, we helped Ciawi’s community member to market her festive cookies. 

 

We received a profit share of 315,000 IDR from festive cookies’ sales and 70.000 IDR from bazaar sales.

 

We were grateful to donors for their routine donations. It was helpful for day to day operation of Children Learning’s activities.

 

Even the smallest help will be beneficial for the education of this coming generation.

 

The children were really grateful for all donations.

 

We thank dedicated donors for their faith and trust in us.
