Dear friends,

 

 

We thank our loyal friends for keeping the children learning community run until today. Thank you for all your prayers and kind attention to the children.

 

In the first week of February, due to Chinese New Year and Moeslem Holidays of Isra Miraj, children enjoyed their school holiday. The team and some mothers visited the house of a mother of the children who celebrate Chinese New Year.

 

We were happy to have a simple celebration of Chinese New Year with the community.

 

 

We thank facilitators, mothers, the personnel of Cakung’s and Ciawi’s learning center who dedicate their time to help us.  

 

 

Following are pictures of Cakung’s and Ciawi’s children’s activities, Cakung’s mother skill development and nutritious meal program in the month of February 2024.

 

 

In the middle of February 2024, big sister Lusi taught the mothers to harvest kombucha healthy drink. The mothers continued to receive knowledge about making kombucha healthy drink and making sacks for holiday gifts out of recycle coffee package.

 

We are grateful for what we have. Even in tough time, Children Learning Community still survive and provide the children with planned activities.   

 

Cakung Children’s thanked Romo Adri and LDD team for their generous Digital TV donation. It is valuable learning tool for the children. They also thanked Mr. Alex for clothing donation.

 

We are thankful for all dedicated donors who have been helping the children with financial and nonfinancial donation including those who share our works to others.

Up to today, scholarships and nutritious food program are being helped by several donors. We are still in need for you to support several Children Learning Community 2024 programs.

 

Our needed average expenses are in the range of 13 to 15 Million IDR per month. Today, we can fulfil 3 Million monthly. Your routine donation are still needed.

March 2024 Activity Plan :

 

1. Learning Activity
1. Learning activity schedule of Cakung’s and Ciawi’s children are  on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
2. We still need to have hanging bracket to mount our new TV, indoor antenna and donation to fix wooden legs of standing board and learning desk, 

2. Teenagers and mothers skill development.
1. March Training and Production: Making Kombucha and gift sacks to place holiday gifts, out of recycle coffee package.

3. Office and administration. 

We are so grateful to have helps from an old friend who is willing to clear up our debt . It was 17.500.000 with the interest.

 

Since we still have to fulfil January’s and February’s expenses, we ask for small loan in February 2024.

The are several programs that need to be fulfilled. We are still looking for support from our Children’s Learning Community donors, maximize the mothers’ and teenagers’ production of goods..

 

We are truly grateful to all donors’ commitment to support with finances, materials, efforts and prayers this month.

 

Together, we have taken part in the nation’s effort for social justice.

 

We thank Mr. David for your kindness in translating this report.
