On Saturday, 30th October 2010 we had study evaluation. The participants were Intan, Erna, Cynthia, Dirno, Lina-Lini, Harris, Adit, Dino, Fanny, Kevin, Pedro, Susi, Zidan, Firman and Pipit.
My friends and I participated in the Math, Indonesian Language and English evaluation sessions. After evaluation, we took a break and we had some snacks from a deli.
After taking a break, we had healthy lunch, cap cay (a vegetable stir fry).

Children Learning Community is a community based on alternative education for the children in Cakung, East Jakarta and in Sarang Tupai, Ciawi, Bogor. The children are from the poor urban family whom their parents make a living from an empty land for farming. Alternative education become the way to conscious the parents and the children on how to be the independent human being.

EVALUASI BELAJAR DI RUMAH BELAJAR

Pada Sabtu, 30 Oktober 2010, kami mengikuti evaluasi belajar. Peserta evaluasi diantaranya adalah Intan, Erna, Cynthia, Dirno, Lina-Lini, Harris, Adit, Dino, Fanny, Kevin, Pedro, Susi, Zidan, Firman, dan Pipit.
Saya dan teman-teman mengikuti evaluasi pelajaran Matematika, Bahasa Indonesia, dan Bahasa Inggris. Selesai evaluasi, kami istirahat. Saya jajan di warung.
Setelah istirahat, kami makan menu sehat, yaitu capcay.

Swimming in Waterland

On Sunday, 17 October 2010, we went to Waterland for swimming. We left our place around 10am and went there by car.
We were so happy arriving in Waterland. After paying the admission tickets, we straight away changed our clothes and jumped to the swimming pool.
I took water sliding together with Kevin and Harris. When we touched the water, Harris pushed me down to the water. I told Kak Qo’riah about it and she scolded Harris.
We still friends after all and played together again. I was so active playing and did not notice there was a hole on the floor. I fell off and bleeding.
Then, time for lunch, we all gathered to have lunch together. Kak Qo’riah was looking for some medication for my wound.
Late afternoon, we went home satisfied and happily.

BERENANG DI WATERLAND

Pada Minggu, 17 Oktober 2010 kami berenang di Waterland. Kami berangkat sekitar pukul 10 naik mobil.
Tiba di tempat renang, kami semua sangat senang. Setelah bayar tiket masuk, kami langsung ganti baju dan berenang.
Saya naik perosotan bersama Kevin dan Harris. Saat turun ke kolam, saya di’lelepin’ oleh Harris. Saya memberitahukan pada Kak Qori’ah. Kak Qori’ah langsung mengomeli Harris.
Setelah itu kami berbaik kembali dan bermain bersama lagi. Saat bermain, saya tidak melihat ada lubang di lantai, saya terjatuh dan terluka.
Siang hari, kami dipanggil untuk makan siang bersama. Setelah itu, Kak Qori’ah mencari pengobatan untuk saya.
Sore hari kami pulang dengan hati gembira dan puas bermain.

My name is Syifa. I am nine years old. I study at SDN 09 Morning class, Grade 3A. I am in the same class as Intan. I live on Lele Lane, near Cakung Sawah.
I usually study at home and help my mother to do ironing, washing clothes, washing dishes, sweep and mop floor, cooking and tidy up beds.
I normally go to school at 6am and after school I do my homeworks first. Then, I went to Learning House.
Intan was the first person who invited me to go to Learning House. I am glad to meet new friends and study together.

PERKENALAN DIRI
Nama saya Syifa. Usia saya 9 tahun. Saya bersekolah di SDN 09 Pagi, kelas IIIA, sekelas dengan Intan. Saya tinggal di gang Lele, dekat Cakung sawah.
Saya biasa belajar di rumah dan membantu Ibu menyetrika, mencuci pakaian, mencuci piring, menyapu dan mengepel lantai, memasak, dan merapikan tempat tidur.
Saya biasa berangkat sekolah pukul 6 pagi, dan sepulang sekolah biasanya saya mengerjakan PR terlebih dulu. Setelah itu, baru saya ke rumah belajar.
Pertama kali saya belajar di rumah belajar diajak oleh Intan. Saya senang sekali berkenalan dengan teman-teman dan belajar bersama.

On Saturday, 30 October 2010, my friends and I had a study evaluation in Learning House. Before the evaluation, we studied at home hoping that we would get good marks.
Once the seniors arrived at the Learning House, they distributed the test papers. We were ready to do the exam. I did not cheat but some friends did cheat.
Some friends finished the test earlier, Erna and I finished the last. After the evaluation, we took a break.
We then gathered again to learn the result of the evaluation. The best mark for Category I was scored by Zidan, in Category II was Dino, in Category III was me and in Category IV, it was Yana.
After the result announcement, our seniors gave some advices for each category to motivate us to study harder. Then, we enjoyed healthy menu, capcay (a vegetable stir fry dish). We brought our bowls of rice from home to have the capcay for lunch.
We enjoyed capcay on rice together on the long table. After lunch, we went home.
