My House

I live at the rented house on Kayu Tinggi St, Beringin III Lane no. 40, RT 08 RW 06, East Cakung, East Jakarta. If you take a public transport KWK 21 from Pulo Gadung direction, the Beringin III lane is located on the left hand side, exactly next to East Cakung 04 Morning Primary School. My house is on the right hand side of the lane. It is located in the end of several rental houses and we do not have fence. In front of my house there is a little house which has a lot of potted plants on its fence.

I live there together with my dad, mom and four of my younger siblings.

I consider my house is quite big; its size is 3 x 8 meter. There are 2 rooms in the house, the front and the rear rooms. The rooms are divided by a wall which leaves a one meter width on the left corner of the room. It is the connection access. It is quite cool inside the house as there is ventilation at the front room. We use the front room as family room while the rear room is used for kitchen and bathroom. There is a divider wall to create a bathroom.

We all sleep in the front room. We gather, play, chat, eat, watch television and sleep together in this room. There is a cupboard to divide the mattress and the room for watching television.

My favourite room is the front room. We like to watch television together here. Every night we gather to watch television. Usually, we start watching television from 6PM. When it is late enough, Umi, my little sister will take a mattress for us to sleep.
