My House

I live at the rented house on Muhammad lane, RT 03 RW 06, Kayu Tinggi, East Cakung, East Jakarta. If we take a public transport KWK 21 from Pulo Gadung direction, it is located on the left hand side of main street, Kayu Tinggi. From the entrance of the lane, you would need to pass approximately 20 houses and then turn left. After passing two houses, you’ll find mine. My house is on the left hand side of the lane.

The house looks narrow from the front however, it is quite large inside. It is cool as we always keep the door open. The house feels cosy. There are neighbours on the left and right of the house. Opposite of my house is Masri’ah’s which facing the rice field.

I live here together with my dad, mom, little brother, uncle (my dad’s younger brother), grandma and grandpa.

There are five rooms in the house, a lounge/family room, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. My grandparents sleep in one bedroom, my family sleep in the other bedroom. My uncle sleeps in a little hut in our vegetable field.

My favourite room is the lounge where we watch television together. Sometimes we sleep in there too. I like to sleep in the lounge with my grandma as my room is quite and a bit eerie. Some people said, there was a person died there.
