My House

I live on Bulak lane RT 03 RW 12 no. 29, Kayu Tinggi, East Cakung, East Jakarta. If we take a KWK 21 from Pulo Gadung direction, this lane is on the left hand side of the main street Kayu Tinggi, opposite Cempaka VIII St. My house is located on the left hand side of Bulak lane.

I live there together with my dad, mom, five brothers, four sisters and three nieces.

It is a large and two-storey house. The temperature inside the house is cool as there is enough ventilation. There is a window near the front door, rear door and on the right wall of the house. There are nine rooms in the first floor, lounge, massage room, prayer room, my bedroom which I share with my nieces, two bedrooms for my sisters, two bathrooms and a kitchen. There are two more rooms in the second floor for my other sisters and my brothers. The stairs is located between the prayer and massage rooms.

My favourite room is my bedroom as the room is cosy. It is not getting too cold eventhough we turn the fan on. There are two mattresses in it, the first one is kapok mattress and the other one is springbed mattress. Both mattresses are placed close to each other but the springbed mattress was positioned against the wall. My niece and I sleep on the kapok mattress. The fan is placed on top of the small wardrobe next to my mattress. On the right hand side of my room near the door, there is clothes hanger. My niece and I use to hang our clothes and towel on it. My dad hangs his clothes on the hook behind my bedroom door.
