Progress Report of Children Learning Community in August 2019

Dear friends,

We were grateful to God and to our loyal friends who supported the children learning community throughout August 2019. Children Learning Community activities at Cakung, Sarang Tupai, Ciawi and Muara Tawar ran smoothly.

In August, Indonesians celebrated independence day. All children in three facilities celebrated with fun games and competitions.  They also did their 2^nd quarter review at the following week after celebration.

Children were excited.

They enjoyed fun games and competitions. Ciawi’s children celebrated the independence day on the 21^st of August. They played tug of wars, crackers eating contest, run with marble on spoon, flag sprint and face painting.  

Parents also watched their children played. And at the end of the day, their mothers participated in tug of wars. Everyone had fun that day.

Price were given in the 4^th week of August, a week after the games. Children attended their 2^nd quarter review first before getting their prices.  Cakung’s and Muara Tawar’s children also did their 2^nd quarter review.

We also provided prices for diligent and well behave students. 

We thank all the parents who came and participated in the independence day celebration.

We also thanked facilitators, volunteers and surrounding community who relentlessly gave their time, efforts, finances and place for this learning program.

We were grateful to fulfil children’s needs through scholarship program this month.

We provided the children with school’s needs, monthly school fees, school’s supplies and transportation allowance.

We thank loyal donors who relentlessly providing us with scholarship assistance. Your support is valuable for these children’s future.

With limited fund, we persevere to serve the children. Children were able to learn at Ciawi and Muara Tawar once a week.

We also have to cut down our regular healthy food supplies for the children in three facilities.

We provided season fruits such as oranges and mangoes. Snack was only served during the celebration of Independence Day.

A Ciawi’s community member served special lunch for his family‘s celebration. Children enjoyed the food. We also brought some oranges. 

We thank Mrs. Santi for serving the special lunch.

Ciawi’s parents also provided lunch after children’s review. They enjoyed lunch while facilitators distributed prices for independence day’s winners.

We thanked Mrs. Yudith for her meal donations.

Children also thanked facilitators and communities for preparing heathy meal in August.

We ask many of our loyal friends to join us in caring for the children and community.

To fulfill the 2019’s budget gap, community members assisted us in selling snack product. Cakung’s cooking coach helped us producing onion cheese sticks.  

We were able to raise 270.000 IDR profit in August 2019’s sales.

September 2019 Plan :

1.                Learning Activity

a.   Cakung’s, Ciawi’s, and Muara Tawar’s children will learn according to their routine schedule.

b.   Teenagers and mothers will be having their handcraft session.

2.                Scholarship

a.   Fulfilling school needs for recipients in Elementary, Middle and High School level.

3.                Staple Needs Cooperative Effort

You have boosted our moral in bringing up poor community. We give children the opportunity to be smart, independent and prosper in their own community. In doing so, we participate in nation’s effort for social justice.
