FALLING SICK

On Monday, May 4, 2009, I fell sick. The first process of the sickness I felt high fever, my stomach ache. The next day, I really fell sick. I could not help my parent, just laying in the bed. Beside that, I just moaning in the bed.

In the morning I asked for breakfast to my father, because I couldn't eat rice, so my father told my brother to buy porridge in the market. In the afternoon my stomach became worst . My mother brought me to the nearest paramedic. Arriving in to the paramedic, directly I was examined, because there was no patient at that time. I didn't know yet my illness and the paramedic did not explain about. She only said, "You have only stomachache". Then she gave me the medicine. The next morning, because the medicine did not work properly, my mother brought me to the nearest doctor.

The name of the doctor is Dr. Yakri. Arriving there, I got number 2. The first number has come in, I must wait untill the first pasient came out. When the first pasient came out, I came in directly. I was examined, the doctor said that I got typhoid. The doctor gave me the receipt for me and my mother took the medicine.

Arriving home, my mother asked my brother to buy porridge so that I could drink the medicine from the doctor. On the same day, my friends visited me. Beside there were Ms. Debby and Ms.Chichi, who teach me in the learning house. I was given worm medicine, as Yana’s mother advice when she had typhoid. The worm medicine was made from the worm, which name is Vermint. It can lower the fever and kill the disease. On that day, I drank that medicine, and in the next day, my body and stomach were better and there was no pain and fever anymore.

When my stomach and my body were not sick and no high fever again, I have my appetite better and went down from my bed. A few days later, my body was fit and no pain anymore.

JATUH SAKIT

Pada Senin, 4 Mei 2009, saya jatuh sakit. Proses pertama sakit, saya merasakan badan panas, perut sakit. Esok harinya, saya benar-benar jatuh sakit. Saya tidak bisa membantu orang tua saya, hanya bisa berbaring di tempat tidur. Selain itu saya juga hanya bisa merintih kesakitan di tempat tidur.

Pagi hari saya minta sarapan pada Bapak karena saya tidak boleh makan nasi, jadi Bapak menyuruh kakak saya untuk membeli bubur di pasar. Sore hari perut saya makin sakit dari sebelumnya. Ibu membawa saya ke bidan terdekat. Sampai di bidan, saya langsung diperiksa karena saat itu sedang tidak ada pasien. Saya belum tahu penyakit saya dan bidan pun tidak menjelaskan penyakitnya. Bidang hanya bilang, 'Kamu hanya sakit perut saja'. Bidan pun memberi obat. Esok harinya karena obat dari bidan tidak menunjukkan perubahan maka ibu membawa saya ke dokter terdekat.

Nama dokternya adalah Dr.Yakri. Sesampai disana, saya mendapat giliran no.2. Nomor urut pertama sudah masuk, saya harus menunggu sampai pasien pertama keluar. Saat pasien pertama keluar, saya pun masuk. Saya langsung diperiksa, kata dokter saya menderita sakit tiphus. Dokter pun memberi resep obat untuk saya dan ibu mengambil obat.

Sesampai di rumah, ibu menyuruh kakak untuk membeli bubur untuk minum obat dari dokter. Hari itu juga, teman-teman menjenguk saya. Selain teman-teman saya juga ada kakak yang mengajari saya belajar, namanya Kak Debby dan Kak Chichi. Saya dikasih obat cacing oleh teman-teman dan kakak-kakak, seperti anjuran Mama Yana ketika dulu kena sakit typhus. Obat cacing itu adalah obat yang terbuat dari cacing, namanya Vermint. Obat ini membantu menurunkan panas dan membunuh penyakit. Hari itu juga saya minum obat dari teman-teman dan kakak-kakak. Keesokan harinya, badan dan perut saya tidak sakit dan tidak panas lagi.

Waktu perut dan badan saya tidak sakit dan tidak panas lagi, saya sudah mulai nafsu makan dan saya sudah bisa turun dari tempat tidur. Beberapa hari kemudian, badan saya sudah sehat dan tidak sakit lagi.

BAZAAR AT CAKUNG FIELD AREA

On Saturday, May 9, 2009, Miss Debby, Uwie, Chichi, Indri, Jemima and I held a bazaar in Cakung Sawah learning house. Few days before the bazaar, I have informed the people around the learning house that we will have a bazaar atau cheap market.

After learning, my friends and I separated the goods that will be sold. After that, teh team thinking together about the price for the bazaar. The team were Ms. Uwie, Indri and Jemima.

When the time came, the people were coming. The bazaar was started at 3 pm. The mothers started pushing each other to get the clothes which they want to buy. There were mothers which were querelling to get the same clothes.

The people were very noisy in bargaining the price. There was one child from Cakung field area, Desmon, who in charge of taking pictures for the documentation of this activity. Because there were still too many unsold clothes, finally all the rest were given free.

After taking all the clothes, we have fun and happily taking pictures together. My mom acted like a joker with her secondhand clothes at bazaar. After that we cleaned the learning house. We swept the floor, folding the carpet, collecting the trash, etc. The learning house has been clean, so Indri and I accompanied Ms. Debby, Ms. Chichi and Ms. Uwie going home.

BAZAAR DI CAKUNG SAWAH

Pada Sabtu, 9 Mei 2009, saya, Kak Debby, Kak Uwie, Kak Chichi, Indri, Jemima mengadakan bazaar di Cakung sawah. Beberapa hari sebelum bazaar dimulai, saya memberitahu warga sekitar rumah belajar bahwa di rumah belajar akan diadakan bazaar atau pasar murah.

Setelah selesai belajar, saya dan teman-teman memisahkan barang-barang yang akan dijual. Setelah selesai memilah barang, para panitia berunding untuk menentukan harga yang sesuai untuk bazaar. Para panitia adalah Kak Uwie, Indri, dan Jemima.

Saat yang ditunggu warga pun tiba. Bazaar dimulai pukul 15.00 WIB. Warga atau para ibu berebut pakaian yang akan ia beli. Ada juga dari mereka yang memilih pakaian, bertengkar hanya karena sama keinginannya.

Warga sangat ramai dan saling tawar menawar harga pakaian. Ada salah satu anak Cakung sawah; Desmon, yang bertugas mendokumentasikan kegiatan. Karena masih banyak pakaian yang belum terjual, akhirnya pakaian tersebut diberikan kepada warga gratis.

Selesai mengambil pakaian gratis, kami semua bercanda dengan hati yang ceria dan gembira sambil berfoto. kebetulan ada ibu saya yang bertingkah seperti pelawak yang sangat lucu dengan baju bekas dari bazaar. Selesai berfoto, kami semua membereskan rumah belajar. Ada yang menyapu, menggulung karpet, membuang sampah, dan lain-lain. Setelah selesai merapikan rumah belajar, saya, Indri, mengantar Kak Debby, Kak Chichi, Kak Uwie pulang.

GOING TO THE DENTIST

On Monday, May 18, 2009, my friends from Cakung and I went to the dentist in Bukit Duri. My friends are Joel, Andrew, Pedro, Joel's mam, Andrew's mam and Pedro's mam. We went at 7.30 am by KWK 21 minibus to Pulo Gadung terminal. We arrived in Pulo Gadung at 9 am. After buying the busway tickets, the bus came, we went to the bus and looking for the seats.

Then we stop at Matraman halte. After that we went through the busway bridge to Matraman halte I, waiting for the destination to Kampung Melayu, not to Salemba because we want to go to another teeth examination, due too high payment. Ms. Debby came first and waiting for us. After we met, we directly went out of the bridge.

Then we walked away, found the small path and went through to find the place for the teeth examination. Finally we found the house. After arriving, we came into the house. The place was like a learning center with two storey. There were some people learning, because this place is for a learning house too. We were asked to go to the second story while waiting for the doctor. After our turn finished, there were another people who came for. We were waiting for the examination. In the afternoon, at 3 pm we were just finished, and have our lunch, going out and waiting for the Metromini 46, going home through Pulo Gadung. From Pulo Gadung we used KWK 21 minibus, and arrived at 5 pm.

PENGALAMAN KE DOKTER GIGI

Pada Senin, 18 Mei 2009, saya dan teman-teman Cakung pergi ke dokter gigi di daerah Bukit Duri. Teman-teman saya adalah Joel, Andrew, Pedro, Mama Joel, Mama Andrew, dan Mama Pedro. Kami semua pergi pada pukul 7.30 pagi naik KWK 21 sampai di Pulo Gadung. Kami sampai di Pulo Gadung jam 9 pagi. Setelah itu kami membeli tiket transJakarta. Bus datang, kami langsung naik dan mencari tempat duduk.

Kemudian kami berhenti di halte Matraman. Setelah itu, kami melewati jembatan busway Matraman I lalu kami menunggu jurusan Kampung Melayu, bukan jurusan Salemba karena kami ingin pindah periksa gigi berhubung biaya yang mahal. Kak Debby datang lebih dulu menunggu kedatangan kami. Setelah bertemu, kami langsung keluar dari jembatan jalan raya.

Lalu kami berjalan agak jauh. Setelah berjalan, kami menemukan gang dan masuk ke dalamnya dan mencari rumah periksa gigi. Akhirnya sampai juga di rumah itu. Setelah sampai, kami masuk ke dalam rumah itu. Tempat periksa giginya seperti rumah belajar yang bertingkat. Disana ada beberapa orang yang belajar karena disitu tempat belajar juga. Kami dipersilakan naik ke lantai II untuk menunggu dokter datang. Selesai kami dirawat, ada juga warga lain yang periksa gigi. Kami antri untuk periksa gigi. Sore hari sekitar jam 3 baru selesai, kami makan siang kemudian kami jalan menunggu Metro Mini 46 untuk pulang ke Pulo Gadung. Dari Pulo Gadung, kami naik KWK 21, tiba di rumah pukul 5 sore.

Celebrating the Ascension of Jesus Christ the Lord

On Thursday, May 21, 2009, we from the City Blessing Church celebrating the Ascension Day of The Lord Jesus Christ. We hold the celebration on the second floor, while the Sunday school children in the first floor. We were very happy with this celebration. We started at 3 PM. The Sunday school children were still singing and praying on the first floor. There we happiness and after praying, I meditate the word of God which redempted our sins.

After hearing the word of God, the Sunday school children out of the room for their learning session at 5 PM. Before it, we prayed first. Our Sunday school teacher is Ms. Lastri. We are 10 children, whom are Michelle, Ester, Indah, Ros, Putri, Andrew, Joel, James, Manasye, and I. The word of God was about afraid of God. In the Lord, we must obey and trust always. After that we prayed. Then we were coloring the drawing paper. My friends and I were very happy with this kind of activity.

Then we took a rest for a while and having our snacks with fried meal, rice crispy, fanta drink, etc. After taking a rest, we start to coloring again.

In the end, the most beatiful drawing were Ester's, Michelle's and me. I was very proud that I can do this kind of drawing. At 6 PM, we went to the second floor again for the offering. Then we sang together, praying and at 7 pm we went home.
